Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha Town (1B)

You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha (45minutes drive depending on traffic jam). Depending on your arrival time, you will have an opportunity to explore the hotel grounds, go for a dip in the swimming pool or partake in any of the offered additional activities available.

Day 2: Arusha Town – Mto wa Mbu/Lake Manyara (1B, 1L)

Our tour sets off after breakfast, with the first stop being the town of Arusha for some last minute purchases, before we head off on an exciting safari experience… We will travel towards the Lake Manyara National Park, where we stop for lunch and afterwards, our first game drive of the safari! The spectacular national park is located at the north-western corner of Lake Manyara, a hallow soda lake, which lies at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Manyara NP is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos, but also for the elusive tree climbing lions.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park (1B, 1L, 1D)

  1. Our journey starts shortly after breakfast with a scenic drive up the Rift Valley escarpment to Serengeti National Park. You will be crossing Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority and we make a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge and the museum (Option) which documents the discovery of 1.8 million year old human-like fossils. Thereafter we head for the Serengeti National Park, game driving along the way to the campsite.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (1B, 1L, 1D )

Rise early for a morning wildlife safari drive, returning in time for lunch. Continue the search for the “big five” in the afternoon while taking in the vastness of the Serengeti plains. Additional Notes: If you have pre-booked a Serengeti Balloon Safari, your flight will be in the morning. You will miss the morning wildlife safari drive with the group, but you will have spectacular views from above. If you have not yet pre-booked, add it to your checkout page, or ask your tour consultant for assistance. Included Activities: Serengeti National Park Safari.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater (1B, 1L, 1D)

We take an early breakfast at the camp and then head to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. On arrival we go through the registration process and descend to the floor of the world’s largest unbroken caldera for the most wonderful day of game viewing. We will have lunch at the designated picnic site at the side of the hippo pool and continue with a game drive as we drive up the crater rim for overnight.

Accommodation: Camping at Panorama Campsite or similar (dome tent)

Day 6: Mto wa Mbu Activities – Arusha – JRO Airport (1B, 1L )

Travel to Mto wa Mbu village and take part in a cultural walk to learn about village life in the area. Meet the women who run the village tours and enjoy a delicious home made traditional lunch. This area is truly stunning, as the western wall of the Rift Valley escarpment provides a gorgeous backdrop. Included Activities: Mto wa Mbu Village Visit. Afrter lunch depart to Arusha town then Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with your International flight back home. Transport: 7-seat 4×4 safari vehicle (2.00-3.00 hours, 130km)
